Step 1. Meet the miminum requirements.
Hold a bachelor's degree or higher from a state-approved college or university.
Pass or exempt the GACE Basic Skills assessment.
Pass the GACE content assessment in the field you are hired to teach.
Step 2. Get hired and pass a criminal background check.
Step 3. Enroll in and complete a state-approved non-traditional teacher preparation program.
